About the Role

expressPay is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to build the core of expressPay services and APIs. The role will focus on developing server-side logic, managing the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness. This position also involves integrating front-end elements and requires a basic understanding of front-end technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection.
• Design and implement data storage solutions.
• Liase with developers, desingers and system administrators to identify new features.

Requirements

• 2+ years working experience in Back-End Development.
• Proficient knowledge of PHP.
• Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS).
• Hands on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby and Python is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design,development and deployment).
• Working knowledge of CMS frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
